Farewell, Dear Friends

I have been writing this blog for over ten years.

I had published Ears to Hear in 2007 and A heart for Truth in 2014. Marketing promoters were touting that writing a blog would create an interest among readers. Thus began the process of building a website which included a blog, way above of my paygrade I might add! But I found good helpers to get me setup, begin the blog, and stick with it week by week—every Thursday. Even from the hospital one week!

I don’t know if it helped sell many books, but I found that I enjoyed writing it. I wrote devotional-type blogs, continuing biblical stories, fictional stories, a poem now and then, or life happenings.

At some point, the task of writing the blog was no longer about promoting books, it was simply a joy to write. I was amazed that the Lord would continue to give me thoughts and ideas.

In 2021, Eyes to See was published. (It seems that every seven years, it began to be my thing.) The last few years, the blog was sent every other week. Guess I was getting old, you think?

I’ve come to a point where I sense the Lord is moving me away from blog writing and perhaps in a new direction. So, it is with relief, but sadness when I tell you that this is the last blog. Thank you for your readership and your comments along the way as we have been Searching His Word and Seeking His Heart.

Well, all things must come to an end, they say. I hope you keep writing, though. I’m going to have to find “Eyes to See”. Do you have any thoughts of doing another book?

    1. Joyce Cordell

Good to hear from you, Mary. No, no more books. Perhaps writing my life story for my family. I have some “Eyes to See” books I’m giving away. Let me know the next time you go to LCW and I’ll send one by Mary. Thanks for your part in publishing “A Heart for Truth.” It’s still my favorite.
